Follow the instructions provided below and in the video for the best results to keep your braces clean. When you begin to floss, you want to get your floss underneath your braces wire. If you were to try to floss like normal, the floss would hit the wire so you wouldn't be able to floss up to the gum line. So what you want to do is thread your floss through the floss threader, kind of like a needle and thread. Then you're going to put your floss threader underneath the wire and pull while holding on to one end of the floss. Now you can begin to floss like normal - get it up into your gum line and see-saw back and forth on one tooth and on the other tooth. Then pull the floss out and repeat the process until you have flossed all of your teeth. --- Provided below are instructions and an informational video explaining how to correctly hook up your rubber bands. And that's the first step, you'll get a box-shape as seen in the video below. After that, grab the top part of the rubber band and wrap it underneath the two pre-molars on the bottom, in between the first molar and the cuspid. You should now see two triangles instead of the box shape. --- The following instructions and video will help you understand how to use wax to help with any discomfort from your braces. The following instructions and video will help you understand how to use wax to help with any discomfort from your braces. Tenderness: Pinch off a piece of wax from the case that's about the size of a pea and then roll it up into a little ball. Get your bracket as dry as possible and then put the wax ball on top of the bracket and then push it into the bracket. You want to make sure it molds into all 4 sides of the bracket. The wax will act as a band aid so your lip will rub against the smooth wax instead of your bracket. Poking Wire: If you have a poking wire and can't make it into the office right away, you can pinch off a piece of wax, get the bracket as dry as you can, and mold the wax over the bracket, covering the long wire. --- If you have a wire come out of that back bracket, don't worry there's an easy way to fix it if you can't make it into the office right away.
